How is the New Year treating everyone?
It’s been pretty good for me- thus far.
It’s been pretty good for me- thus far.
I’ve made a list of goals that I would like to accomplish this year.
Some top things are:
-Budgeting a little more hardcore.
-Get more “readers”.
-Be more involved in the Design Community in town.
-Make friends in Texas (sad, but true.)

Also- In the upcoming weekends, I plan to work on some DIY projects.
Spicing up my Grandma's Jewelry Box
I plan to stain it darker and spary paint the knobs silver.
Coffee Table- To Bench
This Goodwill find- will soon become an upholstered bench that I will use in my bedroom.
Still looking for the "perfect" fabric though.
Mid-Century Office Chair
I found this lovely chair in San Antonio over the weekend at an antique shop.
I will be painting it black in a very high gloss finish.
And recovering it with a bold print.
I can't wait to update you with the finished products.
What are your goals for this year? Do you have any upcoming DIY's?
I would love to hear about them.
& Remember- If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.

i really like the jewelry box project idea. but, you may be better off going with new stainless or chromed handles rather than spray painting the existing ones. even a good spray paint job will cause the hinged handles to stick and not move as freely
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tip Dustin.
ReplyDeleteI thought about changing the hardware out for something new. But I can't figure out how to replace the old ones. The screws aren't visble in the drawer.
