Trending Now: Rustic Chic

It doesn’t have to be country themed to be “Rustic”, or a complete white room to be “Chic”. Here are some beautifully decorative, elegant spaces that show you just that.
Entry Way
Light and airy
Living Rooms
This is probably one of my favorite styles at the moment.
The spaces are so warm and inviting.

I love the combination of white cabinets and dark floors.
Dining Room
Mix & Match
You will notice each space has beautiful chandeliers- which really adds to the chic-ness.
Just by incorporating a few things seen in these photos, you can achieve this very same look.

Thrifty Thursday: DIY Burlap & Lace

Here's to another week of thrifty crafts.
The other day I got the idea to wrap some of my pictures frames in burlap and some in lace.
(I spray painted them awhile ago and didn't do the best job. So I needed a way to cover it up.)
Items needed:
Hot glue gun & glue
Picture frames (any sizes)
Cut burlap and lace into 1"- 2" strips, the length of the yard.
Then just wrap around the frame.
I used a small amount of hot glue to secure the strip to the frame.
Do this all around the frame until you are complete.
Adding a bow (like I did) or flowers would be a super cute way to dress them up a bit more.
Happy crafting!

I thought I would get back into my old blogging routine and bring back good ole’ Thrifty Thursday!
Today I wanted to show you some really fun ways to use chalk board paint.

First let’s start out by making our very own paint- and save a buck or two.

Follow the instructions from this blog
You can make the paint any color you'd like.
In the Kitchen
The bar front
Better than scrap paper
Fronts of cabinets
Inside the cabinets
Spice jars
What a great way to stay organized
Bed or Bath
On the sliding closet doors
The headboard
Why not in the bathroom even.
For Parties
Much more fun than those red plastic cups- right?
