DIY: Pallet Ottoman

I was inspired by an old Post of mine and.. pinterest of course, to make an ottoman out of a pallet.
I took me a while to come up with the exact way I wanted it to look.

But once I knew how I was going to make it- I was so excited that I went to the fabric store asap!

Supplies Needed:

1 Wooden Pallet
Mine is 2’x2 ½’
1 ½ yards of fabric
2” foam the size of your pallet
Batting
enough to cover it twice
4 furniture legs
Mine are from Home Depot and cost less than $3 each
Spray paint or stain
Staple gun
Drill

Total cost: $50 dollars
Time: 1.5 hours (plus drying time)

Step One:
Spray paint or stain the legs
(Do this first to allow enough drying time)

Step Two:
Set the foam pad on top of pallet
Cover with one layer of batting & staple to bottom to secure it to the pallet

Step Three:
Cover with the second layer of batting & repeat steps from step one.

Step Four:
Cover with fabric
Make sure to pull fabric firmly
Staple to bottom of pallet

Step Five:
Pre-drill holes underneath pallet for the legs

Step Six:
Attach legs
(This is where I had a rough time. My legs didn't want to stay in secure enough. So I enforced the hold with liquid nails)

And now you are finished!!

Chase now thinks it's his new place to lay.

I would love to see what latest DIY's you have been creating.
