Trending Now: Gray

Gray is the new must have neutral; it is often the perfect in-between color. It has a very broad range, and is easy to use in any part of your house. It looks good with almost any color and can add lots depth and drama to a room.

Elegant

Freshness

Harmonious

Grant K. Gibson
"I think a lot of people are scared of gray, because they're worried that it's dark, morbid, or depressing. But that's not true. Im a room with the right accessories it can be moody and dramatic."

Thrifty Thursday: Wood Pallets

You know what they say... Reduce, Reuse and Recycle!
Look what you can do with this..
Typical wood pallet
Headboard
Console Table
Daybed
Dining Table
Sofa
Coffee Table (my favorite)
Planter
Chair
This chair is for sale at
For $250 dollars.
But I'm sure you could make it yourself for WAY less.

Who knew there were so many things you could create from old wood pallets. What's so great about this, is you can normally get pallets for free, so its only going to cost you a tiny bit to make something spectacular!
I suggest you get to it, and start repurposing!

Staircases

There is just something about stairs that are so fascinating to me. It could be the mystery behind them.. the “where will these lead me?” kind of thing.  Or just how beautifully design and constructed they can be.
One of my absolute favorite staircases is one designed by Hector Guimard in Paris.

Style - French Art Nouveau
Truly perfect, in my eyes
Innovation

Storage

Magnificence

They really are something else, don't you argee?!

I did a little research to get me going. There are some really talented artist out there. Here are a few pieces that really inspire me- they are all so beautiful.

Thrifty Thursday: Black

People who normally wear black often, tend to be afraid to decorate with the color in their home. But … I say, don’t be afraid!
Black can create pops of interest around your home. The color really does go with almost everything and never goes out of style.
Small Doses
Such a tailored look
Black + Bright Colors
All over the room to create a unified space.
Lots of texture
Grounding the sofa
With neutrals

Large Doses
Not just for trim anymore. Be bold and paint the entire wall for a dramatic look.
So now that you see how great black can look in your home, go out and get a can of spray paint or a gallon of paint and change up your room for under $50 dollars. - Just go for it!
