I’m a native Texan so this post was a lot of fun to put together. While the saying’s true everything is bigger in Texas, there are some quaint spots and homes here as well that are just as big in personality. I’ve shared below a few of the different styles you’ll find in Texas homes.
This is one of my favorite Texas homes. Iit’s located in San Antonio in an old industrial space. The space reflects such an eclectic mix of styles which I love. In this room I especially love the gallery wall.
A Texas size bedroom gets its own interesting touch of Texas with a set of longhorns above the bed.
This living room brings in elements of Texas with a cowhide rug, rich wood accents and leather.
A Dallas home is a study in sophistication with an acrylic bar cart, modern art and traditional paisley wallpaper.
In another room in the home above, a fuchsia dyed cowhide peeks into a little corner with an Asian-inspired chest and a modern print and drum light fixture.
Modern Texas spaces are common in the bigger cities like Dallas and Houston and this living room is the perfect example. Southwestern elements are introduced to the room with woven pillows and rug just barely visible on the right.A Mid-Century modern room in Houston gets its own big touch of Texas in the cowhide rug. The pendant light is reminiscent of a large star.
