Obsessed With: Indoor Herb Gardens

My current obsession is still--- plants!

My husband and I have recently been talking about creating our own herb garden in the kitchen.
So I wanted to share some tips I have come across.

What better way to be more green.
Color wise and environmentally too.

First things first-- finding the best spot for them to grow.
We don't have the largest kitchen, so I find that these wall mount options are the best for a small space.

Next up, finding the best type of plants to grow in your home.

Lemongrass

(Slightly moist soil and partial sun)

Mint
(Bright indirect sun)

Parsley
(Start with a seed, requires minimal attention. Grow in medium to large pot and keep in partial sun)

Chives
(Place near a bright window facing the east, with moist soil)

Cilantro

(Grow in a deep container, keep in south or west facing window)

Sage
(Keep in south or west facing window that receives plenty of sun)

Thyme
(Requires at least 5 hours of sunlight daily)

Dill
(A minimum of a 10" deep container is required, keep in a spot that receives at least 5 hours of sun daily, water only when top 1" soil seems dry)

A few other herbs that can grow on a sunny windowsill--
Rosemary, Oregano, Basil & Tarragon.

I hope these tips help you as well.
Happy Planting!
