Trending Now: Color of the Year

Emerald was named the official color of 2013!

I am green with envy!
(I thought this saying was rather fitting.)

(a little RHWOH action)

I couldn’t be more thrilled that green is the color of choice- it is my absolute favorite. I can NOT wait to integrate this stunning color into some of my designs this year-- starting with my guest room.

Green is such a regal color to add to your spaces.

This combination of the green and white- really brightens up this whole entry.

You don't have to do the entire room in green--
But you could..

Or maybe just try simple touches around your space; like these below

Just by adding hints of this gorgeous color into your design really makes such a statment.

So don’t be afraid to experiment with a bold new color- it’s a new year, be daring!

Happy Decorating!

Before & After: Master Bathroom

I completed the year with another incredible room transformation.
This master bathroom already had tall ceilings and ample room. But what it lacked was color, a useable shower and closet space.

Before

Drawing
At first I put their space into the computer to help give them an idea of what their new space will look like.

 After

We changed their tub into a walk in shower with a frameless glass enclosure. And what use to be their shower into a closet for him.

These clients decided that it would be best for them if I just picked everything out for them.

Which at first was a little nerve wrecking for me- but after a few things started to get installed they couldn’t have been more trilled. So of course that was a confident boost for me.

I am very pleased with how this project turned out- and couldn’t have been more blessed to have such wonderful clients.
I am really looking forward to the year ahead- can't wait to make more beautiful spaces for people.

Trending Now: Polka Dots

Yes, you read correctly. Polka dots!

This fashion trend is making its way into our interiors-- as they always do.

Polka Dots create such a bold, graphic statement in your space. Whether it be on the walls, floors, pillows, or your furniture.

So chic

I love the metallic square dots used here.

Keep the rest of your color palette pretty simple- to let the dots be the star of the room.

Just hits of dots-

Polka dots- add a little something extra to your room. They also give a touch of fun and whimsy too.

DIY Tip:

Pinned Image
Use your old laundry basket to paint your own dots. So clever!

Trending Now: Rustic Chic

It doesn’t have to be country themed to be “Rustic”, or a complete white room to be “Chic”. Here are some beautifully decorative, elegant spaces that show you just that.
Entry Way
Light and airy

Living Rooms
This is probably one of my favorite styles at the moment.
The spaces are so warm and inviting.

Kitchen
I love the combination of white cabinets and dark floors.

Dining Room
Mix & Match

You will notice each space has beautiful chandeliers- which really adds to the chic-ness.

Just by incorporating a few things seen in these photos, you can achieve this very same look.
