  1. I'm obsessed with fabric as art pieces! I've framed a couple of fat quarters and am planning to make a huge frame and get a large piece of fabric to go over my couch in the living room.

I'm also using a lot of mirrors to bring extra light into the rooms, because our house is very, very dark.

Also mid-century finds and jewel tones... but those have been on my mind for years... it's only now that I can start putting them to work! yay!

  2. I agree all the way ever since I saw Jeff Lewis House Beautiful last year where he use old reclaimed wood from the Vanderbilt farm to make his table for the showcase I was in love!!!! And it is the reason why I got a reclaimed wood dining table for myself. Painted floors... I love but I wonder how you after treat them so they don't peel away after use? Since I spec-ed this my sr. thesis project in my kitchen. I had a another designer try to challenge me on it.LOL Keep up the good work Ashley!

  3. Hey Samantha!
I think we are both on the same page. I LOVE fabric as art pieces. They create such an impact and a fairly inexpensive.
Mirrors are great too, I love collections of dofferent sizes and different frames to add interest.
I am really starting to get in finding vintage pieces. I am really excited about it.

    Thanks for reading!

  4. Jamie!
I am so jealous that have you have wood slab table. I NEED to come check it out.
I was reading yesterday that after you paint the floor you need to put a few coats of polyurethane. That should keep the lift of the floor.

    Thanks Jamie!
